• Who can benefit from the "ski à la carte" programm?
All skiers can benefit from the advantages of the "ski à la carte" programm. Aimed particularly at “frequent” skiers who ski several times a season and/or ski in different resorts, the pass offers freedom and ease of skiing in the 6 ski areas that make up the network.
• Do I need a new pass each year?
The annual subscription (€29), symbolized by your pass, has to be renewed by tacit agreement at the beginning of each new ski season (between 1 October and 30 September of the following year). It gives access to all the ski runs in the "ski à la carte" network, without having to go to the ticket office first. Your card itself will not be changed – from one year to the next you can leave it in the pocket of your ski jacket and use it when you ski in the resorts of the network.
If you do not wish to renew your subscription, you simply have to cancel it in your personal account. The renewal procedure is automatic and transparent: we will warn you by email more than a month before the renewal date of your subscription(s).
• Do I need a photo on my pass?
No, the pass is non-transferable but it just features the surname and first name of its holder.
• Is there a discount for juniors and seniors?
The subscription is free for juniors (<18 ans) at the purchase of at least one adult pass (18-64 year old) and the seniors pay half the price (15€ instead of 29€). Regarding to the skiing days, please note that there is only one rate for everyone including children, students and adults. However, everyone will benefit from the 15% discount on the cost of a normal adult pass.
• What is a subscriber?
The subscriber is the account holder. This is the person who requests passes and pays for the subscriptions and ski days using his bank card.
• I don’t ski myself but I want to take out a subscription for my children. Is that possible?
Of course! The subscriber does not have to actually use the pass.
• Is it better to subscribe at the resort or on the skialacarte.fr website?
It is within your interests to request your pass as soon as possible on the skialacarte.fr website. Your pass will be dispatched within 24 hours (weekdays). You also need to allow for the time it takes for the mail to arrive (3 days in France, a week to other countries). If you have left it too late to wait for this process, you can either have your pass delivered to you in the resort (do not forget to choose this option the order) or subscribe at one of the "ski à la carte" points of sale in the resort (make sure you have your bank card with you). It will be then prepared in a few minutes.
• Do I need the CARRE NEIGE LIBERTE insurance for all the skiers I have subscribed?
For each of the subscribed skiers, it’s up to you whether you opt for the CARRE NEIGE LIBERTE insurance option when you request your pass(es). This guarantee is strongly recommended and will allow you to enjoy the ski areas of the "ski à la carte" network with peace of mind. It is also very reasonably priced at only €19 per year per skier. Obviously, if you already have insurance, there is no point in subscribing to this again.
• How are my ski days invoiced?
Your visits to each of the ski areas in the "ski à la carte" networks are recorded as days you have skied on the RFID chip inside your pass. Then, between 5th and 10th of the following month, the total amount you owe for the days you have skied as well as for the days the skiers subscribed on your account have skied, is debited from the bank card you used to pay for your annual subscription(s).
• Do I get a preferential rate for the cost of using the lifts?
Once you have paid your annual subscription (€29) and have received your pass, you will get preferential rates for the ski areas in the "ski à la carte" network:
-15% off the price of an adult day pass every day of the season on all ski areas of the network
-25% off the adult rate on Saturdays in some ski areas.
To find the "ski à la carte" rates for each resort click here.
• Is there a different price for adults and children?
No, there is one rate for everyone including children, students and adults.
However, everyone will benefit from the 15% discount on the cost of a normal adult pass. Also note that it is very useful for children as they will no longer have to carry the money around to go and buy a lift pass from the ticket office!
• How do I pay for the days I have skied?
With your pass, each month you will pay for the days you and each of the skiers subscribed on your account have skied without having to do anything at all. Between 5th and 10th of the month, the right amount is always debited from the bank card you used to pay for your subscriptions.
• Can I receive my invoices by post?
Yes you can use this additional service, which is billed at a supplement of €25 a year.
Don’t forget that you can easily print your invoices by downloading them from your personal space on the www.skialacarte.fr website. At the end of every month’s skiing, an email will be sent to you telling you that your invoice is available. This contains all the details of the costs of the days you have skied, listed for each skier.
• Are there other advantages to having this pass?
Yes, occasionally you will benefit from promotional days in some resorts. These offers are advertised on our website or will be sent out by email.
• What is the "ski à la carte" network?
It is a network of ski runs and lifts covering 6 prestigious ski areas in the French Alps, managed by the Compagnie des Alpes.
These 6 ski areas are accessible from 11 different resorts.
• Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry
• La Plagne
• Paradiski accessible from Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry or La Plagne
• Espace Killy (Val d'Isère and Tignes)
• Serre Chevalier
• Le Grand Massif (Flaine, Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt Fer à Cheval)
• What will I pay exactly when I decide to go and ski?
As soon as your pass is read by one of the lifts in the network, the "ski à la carte" rate for the appropriate ski area is applied for the day and billed the following month.
The applied rate corresponds to the adult day rate, with a minimum discount of 15% (except Paradiski).
On Saturdays, the discount you benefit from is up to 25% off in some areas.
If you ski on 6 days, the discounts do not apply to the price of a week’s lift pass but on 6 times the "ski à la carte" day rate. It is worth doing your sums, however, as the difference sometimes works to your advantage, especially if you decide not to ski every day because of bad weather.
• What are the prices applied by the ski areas in the "ski à la carte" network?
11 resorts are your access points to the 6 ski areas of the "ski à la carte" network.
For Serre-Chevalier, your pass gives you access to the whole of the ski area.
If you ski in one of the 5 resorts that make up the Grand Massif (Flaine, Samoëns, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt Fer à Cheval), your pass automatically gives you access to all the ski runs in these resorts and you will be billed for a day’s skiing in the Grand Massif.
For Tignes and Val d'Isère, your pass gives you access of the whole Espace Killy ski area. You will be billed for a days' skiing in Espace Killy.
On the other hand, in Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry or in La Plagne, you can choose whether you want to ski in Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry or La Plagne or ski in the Paradiski ski area!
For example:
-> A day’s skiing in Les Arcs = "ski à la carte" rate for Les Arcs
-> A day’s skiing in La Plagne = "ski à la carte" rate for La Plagne
-> A morning in Les Arcs and an afternoon in La Plagne = "ski à la carte" rate for Paradiski
• How does my personal space work?
Your personal space on the website is the place where all the information about your account is recorded. You can access this space at any time by entering your email address and the password you chose when you ordered your pass(es). Here you can find:
- Your personal information and information on the subscribed skiers, your choices for the newsletter (subscription/cancellation)
- The days you have skied: a reminder of the place and date of the days you have skied, invoices, payments etc.
- People you have recommended (add new recommendations, insure new skiers, monitor your benefits)
- Your exclusive special offers in the ski areas.
• How does the sponsorship work?
It’s a very simple principle. You send your skiing friends an email inviting them to find out about the "ski à la carte" service and to subscribe for €23 instead of €29. If they subscribe and order a pass, you will get a discount of €6 off your next bill.
Furthermore, sponsorship has a snowball effect: you also earn €6 for every skier who subscribes at the same time as the person you sponsored orders their pass(es).
So if you recommend a friend who takes out 3 subscriptions for himself, his wife and his child, you will get a discount of €18.
You can access a list of all the people you have recommended at any time in your personal space on the skialacarte.fr website. Here you can also find out how many subscriptions have been taken out thanks to them and the total amount of discount you have earned.
• I can’t remember my password. How can I get it sent to me again?
When you sign in to your account, click on “Forgotten your password?” and follow the instructions. Your password will be sent to you by email.
• I have lost my pass. Do I need to cancel it?
If your pass is lost or stolen, you need to cancel it so that your pass(es) cannot be used by anyone else.
There are two ways of doing this:
• Online by going to your personal space and clicking on the Help link.
• By telephone on +33 (0)4 79 75 36 15.
You can use our website to replace one or more passes that you have already cancelled.
The cost of a replacement pass is €4 per card.
• I would like to add a subscription on my account.
You can subscribe up to 6 people on your own account. It is very simple to add a skier to your account. Go to your personal space to enter his details, pay for his subscription and order his pass. Allow 5 days for the delivery of your pass. Passes are dispatched within 24 working hours + allow time for delivery (3 days in France, 1 week abroad).
• How should I let you know about a change of email address or a new bank card?
Your email address, along with your password, is used to identify yourself when you want to access your account. So if you change your email address in your personal space, this new email address will become your new user name to which you should add your password.
Any other information concerning your bank or personal details (address, password) can be updated in your personal space. Don’t forget to update any changes as soon as possible.
• My pass doesn’t work and seems to be faulty. What should I do?
Please go and visit one of our "ski à la carte" points of sale in the resorts. Or you can call the following number any time during the ski season, from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm: +33 (0)4 79 75 36 15 (cost of a local call).
